What first drew you to the accounting profession?
In high school, I worked in the family business where I started doing bookkeeping work, and it sort of stuck. When I got to college, I started out in Computer Science, but took an accounting class. The professor pulled me aside and said, “You are good at this – why not do accounting?” And accounting it was!
Without naming names, describe your favorite client and why you enjoy working with them.
The best part of public accounting is working with a diversified group of clients. My favorite client is an International Association that does business all over the world. Although it is not very large staff-wise, it has many complexities that keep my staff and I on our toes.
What do you enjoy most about your professional life?
It is very rewarding to be able to come to work with such a great group of team mates. I really enjoy my business partners and my staff. There is so much diversity to my work from audit, tax, technology consulting to the variety of in-house and client projects, I am never bored!
